You can use municipal webcams to check the weather on the beaches of Valencia before you leave, which can be a very useful tool nowadays with the crazy climate changes.
Valencia is not known as a bathers’ paradise. It is no secret that the best beaches of Valencia are located quite far from the city and can only be reached by car or, in some cases, public transportation.
However, due to the unpredictable changes in the climate, the weather in Valencia can be very good at times, while a storm may be raging 40 kilometres away in Cullera or Xilxes. As a result, one of the best ways to prepare for your trip is to check the beach on a webcam.
Comunidad Valenciana has a large network of over fifty web cameras spread throughout the province, most of which are located on the beaches of Valencia Community, as well as some inland tourist attractions. You can find out if the weather is nice, how many people are on the beach, and what the sea conditions are by looking at the beach on your screen. During the season, you might even be able to see the flag that indicates whether or not it is safe to swim on some of them. Not all of the cameras are constantly streaming, but in the worst-case scenario, you should be able to see a photo taken less than half an hour ago.
