Valencia Startup Market – Weekend Fun For All

Valencia Startup Market will hold its third edition this weekend on Plaza Del Ayuntamiento, with the goal of showcasing local talent and innovation.

(23.10 Valencia) Valencia City Council, in collaboration with València Activa and VIT Emprén, is hosting the third edition of the Valencia Startup Market this weekend, “an event that will transform the emblematic Plaza Del Ayuntamiento into a great showcase for startups, thus bringing all the innovation and technology that is being developed in Valencia closer to the citizens,” according to Councilor Pilar Bernabé.

“With the Valencia Startup Market, we will demonstrate that Valencia has a lot of innovation and that there are Valencian ideas that are interesting to the rest of the world.” We want Valencians to be aware of and proud of their local talent “, explained Pilar Bernabé, head of the Economic and Employment Sectors’ Innovative Development Area.

This year, the Quasar Dynamics team has set up an interactive information point, a novel and interesting invention that will help visitors understand what Valencia Startup Market is all about.

The Market will, as usual, be especially appealing to children. They will be able to take part in children’s workshops that are all related to the world of innovation.

“We hope to increase interest in technology and science among boys and girls because they are the future, so there will be areas with workshops, experiments, and competitions to encourage initiative, entrepreneurship, and a love of science and innovation from a young age,” explained Pilar Bernabé, Councilor for Entrepreneurship and Economic Innovation.

The Tech Corner, a space that presents leading projects developed by local teams related to digitization, 5G technology, or robotics, will undoubtedly be the epicentre of the Valencia Startup Market. “We want the public to have a close understanding of innovation and technology,” she said.

Around 50 different startups will take part in the market, where they will present their products and services in their own stand in an exhibition area.

“This is a critical visibility opportunity for local projects, which can be presented in one of the city’s busiest spaces, showcasing the talent of the city,” said Councilor Bernabé.

Co-Creat-Art, València Activa’s space for social entrepreneurship based on co-creation processes, will have an independent exhibition area for the first time. Ten innovative projects will showcase their products and services in this space.

Visitors can also enjoy the latest video games and equipment from Encom Games and Dreamhack Spain in a gaming area set up by the organisers.

The Valencia Startup Market will be held on Saturday, October 23rd and Sunday, October 24th from 9.30 a.m. to 7 p.m.People interested in attending the event can check the programming by areas and other content at  www.vlcstartupmarket.com.
