The 5th edition of the Open Boules competition, Villa de Paterna, is being held in Paterna. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. on October 30 at Parque Central, and it is a great excuse to spend some time outdoors. Cheste is celebrating the world of street art from October 27 to October 31. Graffitea Cheste, the international street art festival, has invited some of the world’s most talented artists to create new works in the town. Take a stroll around the area to observe the creative process in action.
If you’re looking for some live music, don’t miss Festardor, which takes place in Puerto de Sagunto (Sagunto) from the 28th to the 31st of October. Soziedad Alkoholika, Lendakaris Muertos, Zoo, and La Fumiga are among the legendary bands on the bill.
Maniatic Film Festival is taking place in Manises, which is great news for film fans. The event, held at Ateneo Cultura, focuses on fantasy and short films. This is a fantastic way to spend your long weekend.
If you want to try something a little bit scary, Espanta la Por is the place to go. This free event, organised by the Museu Valencià d’Etnologia in València and running from the 15th of October to the 14th of November, will introduce your children to the monsters that are part of Valencian tradition. Your children will be tasked with drawing these terrifying beasts and befriending them.
You can also go on a spooky tour of València. Misterios y leyendas a la luna de València, which runs until October 30, is a free activity that will take you to mysterious locations where unexplained occurrences occurred.
Those looking to decorate their walls with art can visit Artespana shop, in Calle Pintor Zariñena 5 in El Carme, in Valencia. Artespana will offer a 20% discount on reproductions of famous Sorolla paintings in the first of its monthly sales. A collection of 24 works is on display. The shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

What to do in Alicante Province?
Fira de Tots Sants de Cocentaina is one of the most important events on the long November weekend calendar. This historic event has been celebrated since 1346 and will be held over two weekends this year: the 29th of October to the 1st of November and the 5th to the 7th of November.
The fair is well worth a visit because it combines markets, historic events, and a variety of fun activities. Dénia is hosting another amazing Fira de Tots Sants. From the 22nd of October to the 7th of November, the festivities will fill Marina Alta with a festive atmosphere.
Delirium will be performed in Crevillent’s Auditorio on October 29th. The performance by Teatro del Contrahecho is about losing control. Meanwhile, in Sant Vicent del Raspeig, you can listen to live music at Sala The One. There, the Neon Collective Tributes, a tribute band, will perform songs by Depeche Mode, U2, and The Cure.
If you’re in the mood for some sweet treats, head to Jijona and try some doblades. This cake, traditionally served to children on All Saints’ Day, combines almonds and a hint of aniseed. A delicious reason to visit the town.
Something much more spooky is going on further down the coast from Alicante, in Torrevieja.
Torrerfico, the fourth edition of the short horror film festival, will take place on October 30th at Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen.
We also recommend visiting Alcoy, especially if you enjoy mountains and caves. On 30 October, Espeleo Alcoi 2021 will take place at Polideportivo Francisco Laporta’s pavilions A and B, putting adrenaline junkies through a series of hair-raising tests.
What to do in Castellon Province?
The province of Castellón has also planned a number of events for this long November weekend. World Cities Day in Castelló de la Plana is a good place to start. Bring your kids to Parque de Ribalta on October 30 for a special outdoor activity to raise awareness about how to make our towns and cities more sustainable. Depending on the weather, your children will go on a bike ride or participate in geocaching.
Don Juan Tenorio will be performing at Real Casino Antiguo in Castelló de la Plana on October 31. The piece, which combines opera and theatre, is traditionally performed at this time of year and promises a very special evening out. If you’re looking for some culture, you can always catch a screening of Plácido at Paraninfo at Universidad Jaume I on the afternoons of October 30 and 31. The event is part of the activities for Year Berlanga, a year commemorating the great Spanish film director’s birth 100 years ago.
The SanSan Festival will take place in the seaside town of Benicasim on October 29, 30, and 31. The lineup for the music festival includes great artists such as Vetusta Morla, Amaral, Xoel López, Mujeres, and others.
Finally, if you’re in Burriana, you can see Lolita Flores and Luis Mottola perform Llévame hasta el cielo. The performance will take place on October 31st at Teatre Payà.
